4c +3c -6= -34
7c -6= -34
7c -6 +6= -34+6
7c= -28
7c/7 = -28/7
c = -4
check by substituting -4 for c:
4(-4) +3(-4 -2)= -34
-16 + -12 + -6 = -34
-34 = -34
