Question 157275: Hi i am trying to get help with finding the interval notation.
solve the inequality. write the solution set in interval notation..
-2/7 id greater than or equal to 2y/7 - 7/4?
i came up with 41/8 but how do i write it as interval notation?

2) 7x + 16 is less than or equal to 8 .. solve inequality and write the solution in interval notation..

3)4x-16=y, for x

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1) The answer's correct but you didn't use an inequality sign.
y%3C41%2F8
In interval notation, you would signify all values less than 41/8.
The solution set is the interval,
(-infinity,41%2F8)
The open right hand parentheses signified that 41/8 is not included in the solution.
If it was, you would use the bracket ].

2) 7x%2B16%3C=8
7x%3C=-8
x%3C=-8%2F7
The solution set is the interval,
(-infinity,-8%2F7)

.
3) 4x-16=y
4x=y%2B16
x=%28y%2B16%29%2F4
The solution set is one point.
