Question 156459: please help me
y^2 /y-4 - 4/y-4
y^3-5y /6y - y^3+y+3/6y

You can put this solution on YOUR website! please help me
[y^2 /(y-4)] - [4/(y-4)]
Since the denominators are the same, combine the numerators to get:
(y^2-4)/(y-4)
You could factor the numerator but the fractio will no reduce.
------------------------------------------
[(y^3-5y)/6y] - [(y^3+y+3)/6y]
Since the denominators are the same, combine the numerators to get:
[y^3-5y-y^3-y-3]/6y
= [-6y-3]/6y
= [-3(2y+1)]/6y
= -[2y+1]/2y
