As the first 5 tests have the same score, we suppose they all scored x.
So the last test had a score of x - 12.
Thus the scores were: x, x, x, x, x, x - 12.
Their average was %28x+%2B+x+%2Bx%2Bx%2Bx%2Bx-12%29%2F6=%286x-12%29%2F6=x+-+2
As the average was 97, we have
x - 2 = 97
Solving the equation for x, we obtain:
x = 99
So the score for the first five test was 99.
