The city council asked the construction company to paint the side of the fence that is facing outward. A gallon of paint will cover approximately 250 square ft.

600*8=4,800 FT^2 IS THE WALL AREA.
(600/12)*2*2=50*4=200 FT^2 ARE WINDOWS.
4,800-200=4,600 FT^2 IS TO BE PAINTED
4,600/250=18.4 OR 19 GALLONS OF PAINT SHOULD DO THE JOB.
