You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How would you graph the equation y=0.2x-0.5?
----------------------------------------------
Two methods are usually taught.
1st: Plot two points:
Let x = 0, then y = -0.5 giving you point (0,-0.5)
Let x = 1, then y = 0.2 - 0.5 = -0.3 giving you point (1,-0.3)
Plot the points and draw a line thru them.
-----------------------
2nd: slope, intercept method
Plot the y-intercept, which is -0.5, on the y-axis.
From that point move your pencil 1 to the right and then up 0.2
----------------
Draw a line thru those two points.
