Question 15511: Each employee has a seperate telephone line. The company is studying the possible number of telephone calls that can be made from people in the office to other people in the office. They have discovered that the total number of possible telephone calls T is described by the equation T = 0.5(x^2-x), where x is the number of people in the office. You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If number of people in office is 45 just substitute x=45
in your given equation
T=0.5%2845%5E2-45%29Do sum in brackets first:
T=0.5%281980%29 Multiply figure in brackets by 0.5 or divide by 2
it means the same to give:
T=990
