Question 155026: Find the horizontal asymptote, if any, of the graph of the rational function.
f(x)=8x/2x^2+1
a. y=1/4
b. y=0
c. y=4
d. no horizontal asymptote Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! No horizontal awymptote because 2x^2+1=0 has no Real Number solution.
-----------------
Another way to look at it: That 2x^2 term can never be negative.
When you add 1 to it you always get a positive number---never zero.
