You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Let x = amount of time it takes both working together to deliver all the papers
Candy delivers papers at the rate of 1/30 of the route per minute
Tim delivers papers at the rate of 1/90 of the route per min
Together, they deliver papers at the rate of 1/30 + 1/90=3/90 + 1/90=4/90 of the route per min. So, our equation to solve is:
(4/90)*x=1 (one paper route, that is, all the papers) multiply each by 90
4x=90 divide each side by 4
x=22.5 minutes-------------amount of time it takes both to deliver all the papers working together
CK
together they deliver at the rate of 1/22.5 of the route per min
4/90=1/22.5
