You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x%2B3y=23 and 3x-2y=3

Solve for x in the first equation:
x%2B3y=23
x=23-3y

Plug that in for x in the second equation:
3%2823-3y%29-2y=3

Distribute the 3:
69-9y-2y=3

Combine like terms:
69-11y=3

Subtract 69 from both sides
-11y=-66

Divide both sides by -11
y=6

You know that x=23-3y, so plug in 6 for y:
x=23-3%286%29

Simplify
x=23-18

Combine like terms
x=5

Answer:
x=5
y=6
(5,6)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x+3y=23 or x=23-3y
3x-2y=3
3(23-3y)-2y=3
69-9y-2y=3
-11y=3-69
-11y=-66
y=-66/-11
y=6 answer.
x=23-3*6
x=23-18
x=5 answer.
Proof:
3*5-2*6=3
15-12=3
3=3
