Question 153232: I need some help with parabolas. Can you please review my work and make suggestions where I have erred.
y = -2x**2 -12X -18 Label vertex, intercepts and Axis of symetry
Axis of symetry = -b/2a 12/-4 = -3
vertex = (-3, 36) y= 2(9) -12(-3) -18 = 18 + 36 -18 = 36
y Intercept y= -2(0) - 12(0) -18 = - 18
x Intercept 0 = -2x**2 -12x -18
=-2(x** + 6x + 9)
= (x + 3)(x+3)

=-3 Is this correct

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
what you have wrong is the Vertex
Vertex is (-3,0)
