SOLUTION: I'm not sure the answer I got for this is right.
Find the vertex and axis of symmetry of the following parabola.
f(x) = x^2 - 6x + 11
My work:
(-3) ^2
y = (x-3)^2 + 11

Question 153157: I'm not sure the answer I got for this is right.
Find the vertex and axis of symmetry of the following parabola.
f(x) = x^2 - 6x + 11
My work:
(-3) ^2
y = (x-3)^2 + 11 - 9
y = (x-3)^2 +2
a = 1
h =3
k = 2
Vertex : (3,2)
No asymptotes
Can anyone tell me if this is correct and point me in the right direction if it isn't?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Find the vertex and axis of symmetry of the following parabola.
f(x) = x^2 - 6x + 11
x^2-6x+9 = y - 11 + 9
(x-3)^2 = y-2
---------------
Axis of symmetry at x = 3
Vertex: (3,2)
