You can put this solution on YOUR website! 3/(x+3)=5/(2x+6)+1/(x-2) I assume that this is the problem. (parentheses help tutors!)
2x+6=2(x+3)
6(x+3)(x-2)=5(x+3)(x-2)+2(x+3)^2 Multiply each side by the LCM to eliminate fractions.
6(x^2+x-6)=5(x^2+x-6)+2(x^2+6x+9)
6(x^2+x-6)-5(x^2+x-6)-2(x^2+6x+9)=0
x^2+x-6-2x^2-12x-18=0
-x^2-11x-24=0
x^2+11x+24=0 multiply each side by -1.
(x+8)(x+3)=0
x=-8, because there would be a division by 0 in the equation.
x=-8 is the only answer.
