Yes it does;
The rule is;
when the signs are the same the answer is positive, when the signs are different the answer is negative.
Ex,
+ * + = +
-* - = +
+ * - = -
- * + = -
ex,
4*4=16
-4*-4=16
-4*4=-16
4*-4=-16
