Question 152038: A building supervisor measured the time it took in days for two builders to build the same
houses under similar conditions. Both builders had the same mean of 190 days, but the
standard deviation for builder A was 21 days, while for builder B it was 12 days.
On the basis of this data, which builder is most likely to finish a house:
a in the shortest time?
b in the longest time?
c closest to 190 days?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! The smaller the standard deviation(sd), the tighter normal curve is clustered around the mean. The larger the sd, the looser the curve.
So the builder with the larger sd is more likely to both finish soonest AND finished slowest.
The builder with the smaller sd is more likely to finish on the mean.
