If we multiply eq.1 by (2) and add to eq. 2, we will eliminate y.
1.2%284x%2B3y%29=-56
1.8x%2B6y=-56
Now add to eq. 2,
5x-6y%2B8x%2B6y+=-35-56
13x=-91
x=-7
Now substitute into either eq. 1 or eq. 2 to solve for x,
4x%2B3y=-28
4%28-7%29%2B3y=-28
-28%2B3y=-28
3y=0
y=0
The solution is (-7,0).
