Let t = number of games tied
w+=+t+%2B+9
As for the points:
2%2Aw+%2B+1%2At+=+60
Use the expression for w in the 1st equation for w in
the 2nd equation
2%2A%28t+%2B+9%29+%2B+t+=+60
2t+%2B+18+%2B+t+=+60
3t+=+42
t+=+14
and since
w+=+t+%2B+9
w+=+14+%2B+9
w+=+23
There were 23 wins and 14 ties
check:
2%2Aw+%2B+1%2At+=+60
2%2A23+%2B+1%2A14+=+60
46+%2B+14+=+60
60+=+60
