Question 148770: I am having a difficult time with Quadratic coefficients like:
trying to find x1_____ and x2_______
x2 = 1.5x + 0.5
a=__________ b=______________ c=______________
x2 = 4.41x
a=_______________ b=_______________ c=____________
I have six problems like this, I just can't wrap my brain around this.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! find x1_____ and x2_______
x^2 = 1.5x + 0.5
x^2 - (3/2)x - (1/2) = 0
Multiply thru by 2 to get:
2x^2 -3x + 1 = 0
Factor:
(2x-1)(x-1) = 0
x = 1/2 or x = 1

The original values of a,b, and c are
a=___1_______ b=__-1.5____________ c=___-1/2___________

x^2 = 4.41x
x^2-4.41x = 0
x(x-4.41) = 0
x = 0 or x = 4.41
