You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a hexagon is inscribed in a circle of radius 4. find the area of the hexagon.
-------------
Assuming it's a regular hexagon, there are 6 equilateral triangles with sides of 4.
The area of each is bh/2, = 4%2A2%2Asqrt%283%29%2F2
The total area is 6 times that,
=24%2Asqrt%283%29
= apx 41.57 square units
------------------
As a check, the area of the circle is PI%2Ar%5E2 = 50.265
The circle will always be more than anything inscribed in it.
