3x%5E0+=+3 since x%5E0=1 for any x where x%3C%3E0. So 3x%5E0+=+3 becomes 3%281%29+=+3 and then finally is 3=3. Remember, anything to the zeroth power is 1. This applies to %283x%29%5E0 also. The only difference between 3x%5E0+=+3 and %283x%29%5E0=1 is the use of parenthesis.
