My worksheet said to type a formula to evaluate the given polynomial at the points x = -2 and y = -3
The polynomial is 1 - x^2y + 6xy^2 - x^3y^3 + 12y^5
The formula I have written is =1*(-2)^2+6*(-3)^2-(-3)^2+3-(-3)+12+(-3)^5

evaluate the given polynomial at the points x = -2 and y = -3
The polynomial is 1 - x^2y + 6xy^2 - x^3y^3 + 12y^5
The formula I have written is:
1 - (-2)^2*(-3) + 6*(-2)(-3)^2 - (-2)^3(-3)^3 + 12(-3)^5
= 1 - 4*-3 + 6*-2*9 - -8*-27 + 12*243
= 1 + 12 - 108 + 216 + 2916
= 3037
