All you have to do for this one is cross-multiply and then solve.
From that step, you should get something like this:
8c=4%2A%28c%2B1%29
8c=4c%2B4
4c=4
c=1

2%2F8=1%2F4
1%2F4=1%2F4
since the equation is true, you know that the value for C you plugged in was correct.
