36 is a perfect square, so its square root is 6. 54 is not a perfect square, so here is how we find its square root.

Pick two factors of 54, perferably one that is a perfect square:
9 and 6

Find the square roots of those
3 and sqrt%286%29.

Multiply them by each other
3sqrt%286%29.


So sqrt%2854%29=3sqrt%286%29.

Multiply 3sqrt%286%29 by 6 and get 18sqrt%286%29.
