Question 147589: ok here's a few i'm not sure if they're right or not and the last one I just can't seem to understand, hope someone can help!!
give an equation of a line that is perpendicular to the line
y=1/3x+1
I have y=-3x+2 or y=-3x-1
find a point slor form of the line passing through (1980,5) and (2000,45)
i have y=2x+5
I'm really confused about that one!
find an equation of the line that horizontal, passing through (3/4,-5/6)
y=-5/6, right?
I don't understand this one at all:
the number of radio stations on the air from 1950 to 1995 may be modeled by
f(x)214.3x-415,368, where x is the year
how man radio stations were on air in 1980
what is the slope of the graph
interept the slope as a rate

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
give an equation of a line that is perpendicular to the line
y=1/3x+1
I have y=-3x+2 or y=-3x-1
Correct
-----------------------
find a point slope form of the line passing through (1980,5) and (2000,45)
i have y=2x+5
Correct
-----------------------
I'm really confused about that one!
find an equation of the line that horizontal, passing through (3/4,-5/6)
y=-5/6, right?
Correct
--------------------
I don't understand this one at all:
the number of radio stations on the air from 1950 to 1995 may be modeled by
f(x)=214.3x-415,368, where x is the year
how many radio stations were on air in 1980
what is the slope of the graph
-
Your equation is messed up; but it looks like the slope is 214.3
--------------------
interpret the slope as a rate
The # of radio stations increases at a rate of 214.3 per year.
