You can put this solution on YOUR website!
24x+5=12x+41
subtract 12x from both sides;subtract 5 from both sides
12x = 36
divide both sides by 12
x = 3

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

24x%2B5=12x%2B41 Start with the given equation.

24x=12x%2B41-5 Subtract 5 from both sides.

24x-12x=41-5 Subtract 12x from both sides.

12x=41-5 Combine like terms on the left side.

12x=36 Combine like terms on the right side.

x=%2836%29%2F%2812%29 Divide both sides by 12 to isolate x.

x=3 Reduce.
