Question 147221: If Marc took 3 hours (h) to mow a lawn while Angelina took 150 minutes (min) to mow the same lawn a wek earlier. What would be the ratio of Marc's time to Angelina's time as a ratio of a whole number? Answer by mangopeeler07(462) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! First, convert Mark's time to minutes, like Angelina's time. 3 hours equals 3 groups of 60 minutes. Therefore 3(60)=180. Then simply put 180 over 150 (angelina's time) to create the ratio. Once you have 180/150 you should reduce the fraction. You probably will first reduce it to 18/15, then from there you can reduce it to 6/5. Once you get there, just change the division sign to a colon in such a way that it looks like this 6:5. And there you have it!
