You can put this solution on YOUR website!
find the nth term of each arithmetic sequence then graph the first five terms of the sequence
9,13,17,21
.
Notice that for your series, there is a "constant" difference of 4 between the numbers. If so, you can apply the following "arithmetic sequence" formula:
.
Ref:http://www.mathwords.com/a/arithmetic_sequence.htm
.
You can use the following formula to find the nth term:
an = a1 + (n – 1)d
where
an = the nth term
a1 = first value of the series
n = desired sequence number
d = the constant difference (4)
.
They gave you the first four terms so the 5th term is simply 4 more than the 4th term.
.
The entire sequence:
9,13,17,21,25
