You can put this solution on YOUR website! Trains A and B are traveling in the same direction on parallel tracks. Train A is traveling at 40 miles per hour and train B is traveling at 50 miles per hour. Train A passes a station at 2:20 pm. If Train B passes the same station at 2:32 pm, at what time will Train B catch up to train A?
 --------------
 Train A DATA:
 Rate = 40 mph ; time = x hrs ; distance = 40x miles
 ----------
 Train B DATA:
 Rate = 50 mph ; time = x-(1/5) hrs ; distance = 50[x-(1/5)]
 --------------
 EQUATION:
 distance A = distance B
 40x = 50x - 10
 -10x = -10
 2x = 5/3
 x = 1 hr.
 ------------
 Distance will be the same at 2:20 + 1 hr = 3:20
 ==============
