the hands coincide every hour (8:40+, 9:45+, 10:50+, etc.)with the exception of 11 o'clock
__ by the time the minute hand catches the hour hand during the 11th hour, it is 12:00

so; 24 times, minus the two 11 o'clocks, is 22 times
