Question 146596: Hardwood flooring costs $90.00 per square meter. How much will it cost (to the nearest dollar) to cover the dance floor shown in the figure just below with hardwood flooring?
The figure is of a capsule-shaped dance floor that has two semicircles on opposite ends and they have a radius of 20 feet each. The middle of the dance floor is a rectangle with a length of 20 meters.

So what I did first was use convert the 20 ft to meters which equalled apporximately 65.6 m each. Then I used the formula d= 2r to find the width of the rectangles which came out to 131.2 m...then I got stuck!!!!
PLEASE HELP

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
there is a problem with your conversion

1 inch equals 2.54 cm __ (20ft)(12in/ft)(2.54cm/in)/(100cm/m)=6.096m

the area is a circle with radius 6.096m and a rectangle 12.192m by 20m

pi*6.096^2=116.745 __ 12.192*20=243.84 __ total area is 360.585m^2

360.585*90=32452.65 or 32453 __ this is the cost
