Question 145750: (2x^3-x^2+3x-1)\(x+2) i am not able to understand the solution. please clarify step by step Answer by nabla(475) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! I am assuming that you want to perform the division...
Polynomial division is a little tricky to show on here. The process is quite simple, however. Perform long division as though you were with numbers, however only make the x terms line up. You will see as I solve this:
....

x+2}2x^3-x^2+3x-1
..-(2x^3+4x^2)
______________
........-5x^2+3x-1
.......-(-5x^2-10x)
___________________
.............13x-1
............-(13x+26)
