when you have an inequality you treat it as an "equals" sign, unless you divide or multiple by a negitive
so i would startby adding 7 to both sides to get
6y%3C-2y%2B20
then add 2y to both sides to get
8y%3C20
then divide by 8
y%3C20%2F8
