Question 144325: a 6-foot man walked from the base of a broadcasting tower directly toward the tip of the shadow cast by the tower. When he was 132 feet from the tower his shadow started to appear beyond the tower's shadow. What is the height of the tower if the man is 3 feet from the top of the shadow?
I understand it makes an angle and the base is equal to 141 ft but I cannot figure out the rest of this. Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! the man is 3 ft from the end of the tower's shadow when his own shadow starts to appear beyond the tower's shadow
so a 6 foot man is casting a 3 foot shadow
if the tower's shadow is 135 feet (132+3); then how tall is the tower?
