You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If 3x%2By=90 and 10%3C=x%3C=25 what is the least possible value of y?

Since the equation is that of a line, its least and highest possible
y-values are at the endpoints of the interval.

We substitute the left endpoint of the interval,
10 for x in

3x%2By=90
3%2810%29%2By=90
30%2By=90
y=60

Then we substitute the right endpoint of the interval,
25 for x in

3x%2By=90
3%2825%29%2By=90
75%2By=90
y=15

And the largest value of y is 60 and the least value of y is 15.

-------------------------------------

And also solve for d

d+=+%283x%29%2Fy%28y%2B1%2Fx%29

Use the distributive principle:

d+=+%283x%29%2Fy%28y%2B1%2Fx%29

d+=+%28%283x%29%2Fy%29%28%28y%29%2B%281%2Fx%29%29

d+=+%28%283x%29%2Fy%29%28y%29%2B+%28%283x%29%2Fy%29%281%2Fx%29%29

Then cancel:

and all that's left is:

d+=+3x%2B+3%2Fy
