You can put this solution on YOUR website! you first start out by multiplying 1y by2
and it will leave you with 2y
now you need to re-write your problem...
2y+14=-2
you now need to subtract 14 from both sides...
that leaves you with 2y=-16
now divide both sides by 2
and it should leave you with negative 8
