Find the x intercepts for the graph of the equation y=x^2+3x-10 I have to find the s intercepts? Can you help

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=x%5E2%2B3x-10 Start with the given equation

0=x%5E2%2B3x-10 To find the x-intercept(s), let y be equal to zero. So plug in y=0

0=%28x%2B5%29%28x-2%29 Factor the right side (note: if you need help with factoring, check out this solver)

Now set each factor equal to zero:
x%2B5=0 or x-2=0

x=-5 or x=2 Now solve for x in each case

So the x-intercepts are:

x=-5 and x=2

Notice if we graph y=x%5E2%2B3x-10 we can see that the x-intercepts are x=-5 and x=2 . So this visually verifies our answer.
