Question 142829: You are trying to decide how to most efficiently use your oven. You do not want the oven running at a high temperature when it is not baking, but you also do not want to waste a lot of time waiting for the oven to reach the desired baking temperature.
The instruction manual on the industrial oven suggests your oven temperature will increase by 45 degrees Fahrenheit per minute. When the over is initially turned on, the temperature is 70 degrees Fahrenheit. What will the temperature of the oven be after 7 minutes? You can put this solution on YOUR website!
45X+70=Y is my equation, where X represents the number of minutes the oven has been on and Y represents the overall temperature after the time has passes. You times 45,the rate of the oven heating per minute, to the number of minutes the ovens been one, then you add 70 to the result, because the oven is that temperature before you even start counting minures. To find your answer you plug the 7 minutes in for X and you get a value of 385 degrees for Y.
X=7
Y=365
