You can put this solution on YOUR website! 4x^2>=13x-3
Lets do this problem with an equal sign 1st.
4x^2-13x+3=0
4x^2-12x-x+3=0 multiply the 1st and 3rd coefficients 4*3=12 What 2 factors of 12 add up to -13. Ans=-12 & -1
4x(x-3)-(x-3)=0 Factoring by grouping.
(4x-1)(x-3)=0
x=1/4, x=3
On the graph below x=1/4 is where the line contacts the parabola from below and x=3 is where it crosses the parabola again.
Now compare on the graph below when the parabola (4x^2)has a higher y value than the straight line (13x-3). You will see that it is when x<=1/4 and when x>=3 that 4x^2>=13x-3.
