You can put this solution on YOUR website!
simplify these two problems?
7 over x+1 plus 3 over x-4
(7/(x+1)) + (3/(x-4))
--------
least common denominator: (x+1)(x-4)
-----------
Rewrite the fractions:
[7(x-4) + 3(x+1)]/ lcm
[10x-35]/[(x+1)(x-40]
============================

8 over x+4 plus 3 over 4+x
8/(x+4) + 3/(x+4)
= (8+3)/(x+4)
= 11/(x+4)
===============
