Question 140541: I have a couple of problems that I am trying to help my daughter to understand but I admit it's been years and I can't remember how to do them so I am going to submit them one at a time. I hope someone can help me help her. Here's the question. A rectangular pyramid has a volume of 154 cubic meters. If the height is multiplied by 10 what is the volume of the new pyramid? Thanks for your help. Jennifer Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! the formula for the volume of a pyramid is v=bh/3
__ v is the volume, b is the area of the base, and h is the height
if h is multiplied by 10, then v is 10 times larger
