a logarithm is an exponent that some base is raised to, to get a value

logb(a)=x means b^x=a

log3(81) means 3^?=81 __ 9*9=81 __ 3*3*3*3=81 __3^4=81 __ log3(81)=4


6(4)-2(2)/4(3)
