Question 140511: A triangle has an area of 20in^2, and two of the sides of the triangle have lengths 7in. and 9in. Find the angle included by these two sides. Round answer to the nearest tenth of a degree.
I have no clue how to do this, can someone at least show me the steps? Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! A triangle has an area of 20in^2, and two of the sides of the triangle have lengths 7in. and 9in. Find the angle included by these two sides. Round answer to the nearest tenth of a degree.
--------------------------------
Area = (1/2)absinC
20 = (1/2)7*9sinC
40/63 = sin C
C = sin^-1(40/63)
C = 39.4 degrees
