You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve for x: Graph the solution
A) 5-2x>15
Add 2x to both sides ; Subtract 15 from both sides:
2x < -10
x < -5
-----------------
B) |4-x|<6
-6 < 4-x < 6
Subtract 4 along the line to get:
-10 < -x < 2
Multiply thru by -1 to get:
-2 < x < 10
-----------------
C) |2x-5|-4=6 Does not need graphed
|2x-5| = 10
2x-5 = 10 or 2x-5 = -10
2x = 15 or 2x = -5
x = 15/2 or x = -5/2
--------------------------
D) |3x-1|+6=4 Does not need graphed.
|3x-1| = -2
An absolution value cannot negative.
No solution.
