You can put this solution on YOUR website! Which of these formulas implicitly describes y as a function of x?
a) 2x+y^3=100
y = cube root of (-2x+100)
--------------------
b) 5x-|y|=10
Requires two equations:
y = 5x-10 or y = -5x+10
-----------------------
c) x^2+y^2=25
Is not a function as there are two values of y for each value of x.
----------------
Ans: a
