the median (middle value) is 8, so there are two numbers above 8 and two numbers below 8

the mode (most frequent value) is 10, so the two numbers above 8 must be 10's

the mean (average) is 7, so the sum of the 5 numbers is 7*5 or 35

the 8 plus the 10's sum to 28, so the sum of the 2 numbers below 8 is 35-28 or 7

the numbers 0 and 7 give the largest range (0 to 10)
