Question 138051: How do I solve:
Find the equation of the line that contains the points whose coordinates are (9,-3) and has a slope of -1/3.
I lost my x somewhere
y-y1=m(x-x1)
Y-(3)=-1/3(x-9)
y-(-3)+ -1/3x(9)
-3= -3
Where did I go wrong?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the equation of the line that contains the points whose coordinates are (9,-3) and has a slope of -1/3.
I lost my x somewhere
y-y1=m(x-x1)
Y-(3)=(-1/3)(x-9)
y-(-3)= (-1/3)x+ 3
y = (-1/3)x
