Sorry to hear about your temporary loss of brain function.
It has been said "The brain is a marvelous organ. It starts working the minute you wake up and doesn't stop 'til you get to class"
Solve for x:
10x%5E2-17x+=+63 Subtract 63 from both sides.
10x%5E2-17x-63+=+0 Factor this quadratic equation.
%282x-7%29%285x%2B9%29+=+0 Apply the zero product rule: If a%2Ab+=+0 then either a+=+0 or b+=+0 or both.
2x-7+=+0 or 5x%2B9+=+0
If 2x-7+=+0 then x+=+7%2F2
If 5x%2B9+=+0 then x+=+-9%2F5
Good luck on your recovery!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
10x%5E2-17x=63

First put the equation into standard form:
10x%5E2-17x-63=0

If this thing factors, the lead terms of the binomials must be 2x and 5x or x and 10x, and the constant terms of the binomials must be +9 and -7 or -9 and +7. A bit of trial and error gets you to %282x-7%29%285x%2B9%29=0

You should be able to take it from here using the Zero Product Rule: ab=0 if and only if a=0 or b=0.
