Question 137306This question is from textbook
: Could you please help me by solving this equation using the substitution method?
y-2x=-7.5
3x-5y=3.2
y-2x=-7.5 by adding 2x to both sides of the equation
y=2x-7.5
Now substitue y(2x-7.5) into
3x-5(2x-7.5)=3.2
3x-10x+37.5=3.2
-7x+37.5=3.2
-7x=3.2-37.5
-7x=-34.3 by dividing -7 to each side of the equation
x=4.9
Your y answer is:
y=2x-7.5
=2(4.9)-7.5
y=2.3

I would be very much appreciated to you. Please help!
Thank you.
