x+7/3 = 37/15 - x-2/5

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

x+7/3 = 37/15 - x-2/5
You can multiply throughout by highest denominator in the equation.
The highest denominator is 15 according to your equation.
Therefore multiplying the equation throughout by 15 will be-
x(15)+7/3(15) = 37/15* 15 - x(15)- 2/5*15
The reason why we do this is to be able to turn the equation to linear in order to ease further simplification. 99.9% of time,In order to solve equation of this type our first goal will be to make the equation linear but by applying true properties.
So the equation will become-
15x+35= 37- 15x -6
15x+15x = 37-35-6 (by collecting like terms)
30x = -4
x= -(4/30) (by dividing both sides by 30)
x= -(2/15).
Hope this helps.
