subtract 8%2F16 from both sides
x%5E2+-+%283%2F2%29x+%2B+%289%2F16%29+=+%289%2F16%29+-+%288%2F16%29
%28x+-+%283%2F4%29%29%5E2+=+1%2F16
take square root of both sides
x+-+%283%2F4%29+=+1%2F4
